Position SummarySupports management of national accounts, evaluates, and makes recommendations for national and/or regional manufacturers, suppliers, and trade partners with a focus on managing costs, product availability, overall program competitiveness and contributing to construction cycle time.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPurchasing Performs due diligence related to the establishment of new national partnerships and/or the use of new products resulting in price discounts, quarterly/yearly manufacturer rebates, and model home discounts.
Contributes to development of product pricing guidelines, standard purchasing policies and procedures to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
Lead take-off and cost unbundling efforts.
Strategic Sourcing National management of supplier relationships including, potential agreements with product manufacturers, material suppliers and trade partners, etc.
Communicate national contract updates to all affected departments.
Identifies new methods and materials that lower cost without sacrificing quality or perceived customer value.
Lead the negotiation and contracting of all national and regional manufacturers and make key decisions on sourcing, developing new suppliers, and negotiating terms.
Identify opportunities to leverage national, regional, and divisional volume and establish course of action.
Ensure divisions are aligned in compliance with National contracts, sourcing strategy, initiatives, directives, etc.
Supports Divisions with implementation and ongoing compliance of National Account programs Analyze market conditions to determine present/future material availability and pricing competitiveness.
Ensure all national manufacturers and distributors meet company guidelines for insurance and credit worthiness.
Collaborate with divisions and suppliers for solutions to performance/product availability challenges and implement improvement plans to monitor progress.
Facilitate problem resolution related to nationally contracted products.
Rebates Lead national rebate setup, invoicing, collections, and auditing.
Drive consistency in product usage throughout the company.
Ensures rebate programs will not be subsidized through elevated unit pricing.
Submittal and tracking of timely processing/receipt of National agreement rebates.
Work with divisions and centralized purchasing administration to maximize incentive collections.
Resolve supplier concerns.
Additional Duties Assesses financial benefit and impact of national account initiatives to the Company.
Ensures all National Agreement Files are updated, current and accurate.
Attends trade shows and industry functions on behalf of Company.
Occasional travel to Divisions and National Account Partner offices Additional duties as required At least 3 years' experience in construction role At least 2 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management Strong analytical capabilities Ability to negotiate in a cost transparent environment Proven experience leading change in a continuous improvement environment Excellent influencing and negotiating skills Computer proficiency to include MS Excel and MS Word Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in related fieldPhysical Demands Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently and frequently moving small objects.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
